Bicore in 'Het Financieele Dagblad' - Hague savings drift forces subsidy rate consultants to review
"Two years ago we already saw what was coming," says Leijtens. When the government deficit increased drastically because of the credit crisis, Bicore's CEO knew: "We are not confident that the Dutch subsidies will be maintained over time. We need to diversify. "
Last year Leijtens and Bicore realised a turnover of € 1 million, of which approximately 30% came from subsidy mediation, the rest was (inter alia) drawn from a self-developed software package. This tool allows companies to track how their inventions and innovations contribute to earnings. The sale of this software will provide a decent increase in sales the coming year. At the same time, the share of subsidy mediation services will fall to 10% of total turnover. This means that some of the thirteen employees will be used for other types of work.
